Great place for dinner, overall good service! The food was good, served in a high-end restaurant fashion, however I found this place to be pricey for the quality of the food. I did prefer the pork chop to the chicken. The drinks were okay, but I could have done without. The interior was very homey, and the place was fairly busy, so it is a staple for midtown.

First time here, and the food was delicious. The bartender and waitress were very cool and gave a lot of recommendations. The atmosphere was good. I would diffently come back and tey more things off the menu.

First time experience here while moving our daughter to Atlanta. Really enjoyed everything we had starting with the delicious basket of biscuits and cornbread. We also had the fried green tomato with goat cheese app and a Caesar. Normally not a big fan of goat cheese but this was great. She crab soup was spot on. We all had fried chicken for our entree which did not disappoint. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Came here for the first time and brought my boyfriend's boss. We parked in the lot across the street, which is very large. You have to pay for parking, but it's midtown so yeah. We made a reservation, which I am happy about because the place was packed on a Wednesday. The restaurant itself looks like it used to be an old house. There is a bar on the first floor, outside seating, and an upstairs dining area. Our server was Indi and he was so nice. Gave us a little history about the place and was attentive to everything that we needed. He recommended the market fish for my entree (I was torn between shrimp and grits) and I am so happy he did. It was delicious. To start the dinner we had complimentary corn and regular biscuits, they were awesome. For an appetizer, we had the she-crab soup and pork belly. Both amazing. My bf had the pork chops and his boss had the shrimp and grits. They both said that the food was amazing. As I stated earlier, my fish was also wonderful. I was so full by the end of the meal. The food is rich and packed with flavor. In all my posts I comment on GF options and this place is on the list of restaurants that have enough options for my bf, without being limited to one or two items, which was wonderful. We have friends visiting in a few weeks and plan to bring them here for dinner.

The Service was stupendous. I went in for a quick lunch before a meeting, however, it was full and there was a line three groups deep at the host's station, so I asked if I could sit at the bar and grab a quick bite and he kindly obliged. The lovely lady behind the bar made me feel like I was a long time regular, she was naturally amorous towards everyone and made my day, and I wouldn't be surprised if she does that for many others most everyday. I got the fried chicken. I must preface by stating that I haven't been to every restaurant in Atlanta, but with that being said, I've been quite intentional about searching for the finest chicken and so far this had been the best I've enjoyed in this town (almost reminiscent of a place called Indi's in Lexington, KY). The biscuits were served to whet the appetite before my meal and later to complement, they were substantial and pretty much everything one would come to desire from a biscuit. Sadly for me, my one dining experience there was as basic as it gets, but I was in a rush to get in, eat up then piss off. I will definitely be returning, if for nothing else than to have that same feeling of welcomeness, I just hope that I'll have the strength to resist the fried chicken next time so that I might be able to discover the plenty other fare that this charming establishment has to offer.

Loved my experience here!! In the ATL for work and came here for dinner. Such a cool spot! Huge shout out to Pablo...amazing and the most entertaining service I've had!!! Loved the space...old cottage type building/house in the middle of the city...lots of character, open, just aesthetically pleasing all around. Had a mock tail..., went with the BBQ Shrimp and Crab Cake to start. Both were flavorful and cook perfectly. Went with the Duck Breast for my main entree....also amazing! On a scale of 1 - 10....i wish this place was in AZ!

Cute romantic set up located in what seems like an old home. You could also have a family dinner here. Service was great. Our server came by the table a number of times. Recommending different alcohol beverages each time. The food was delicious. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes it was absolutely delicious. I've never had them before. The red pepper coulis with the goat cheese was a perfect match. My meal was the Springer Mountain Farms Fried Chicken paired with garlic collards, mashed Yukon, gold potatoes, flavored with honey-thyme jus. It's a unique and sweet pairing. Delicious To drink I had the SCK Old-fashioned with redemption bourbon, sorghum, it was delicious I also tried the Manhattan I heard it's a hit. It wasn't either of our preferences. We had the Smoky Grilled Pork Chop the glaze reminded me of barbecue sauce, the meat was a tad dry but still delicious. We had a tuff time deciding on a dessert the server brought both the strawberry shortcake and the banana pudding when we ordered strawberry shortcake. Both were delicious

** The Crispy Chicken: A Revelation!** The **chicken dish**--oh, how it tantalized our senses! Each morsel, a symphony of crunch and flavor. The golden crust yielded to tender, succulent meat within. A celestial experience, indeed. --- ** Maryland She Crab Soup: A Seafood Sonata** Next, we dipped our spoons into the **Maryland She Crab Soup**. Velvety and tasty. --- ** The Pork Chop: A Sizzling Overture** And then, the **pork chop**--its aroma dancing from the kitchen. The first bite, a crescendo of flavors--smoky, juicy, and utterly satisfying. We savored it, our taste buds applauding in unison. --- We returned, a second time. The second visit--a symphony of familiarity and anticipation. The chicken, even crisper; the soup, even richer; the pork chop, a standing ovation.

My second visit to South City and it did not disappoint. I had the fried chicken which was outstanding. Great flavor and seasoning on the chicken with a crispy outside and moist and tender inside. They also had a homemade hot sauce that they provided: now I am not typically a hot sauce person, but this is a must. My wife had the shrimp and grits and really enjoyed her meal. The service was impeccable. Our server was very attentive and definitely went above and beyond. I'd come back for the service alone. Note: They do take reservations and I would recommend. It can get busy at times.
